Rio Half Marathon is amazing! The course is as beautiful as a course can be! Start is at famous Ipanema Beach! From there the course takes runners to Copacabana before the course turns left towards Botafogo and Flamengo from where you have spectacular views of sugarloaf. Runners pass by the marina of Rio, hit downtown before the course turns back to Flamengo where the half marathon comes to an end! In the finish zone you’ve got a perfect view of sugar loaf for a perfect medal picture! Weather conditions were hot this year, but should normally be a bit better. It was the hottest day of the week – bad luck! But it was sunny! The expo is well organised and quite big! As the race is very popular and many participants take part in the race waiting time at the numbers pick up is quite long. Try to be there as early as you can! In the race package you find gel and bars! A nice T-Shirt could be ordered for a good price
with the registration! All in all a MUST-RUN-RACE! And last, but not least: I’ve never seen so many photographers taking pictures of the runners! I can’t wait to see all the pictures!

Rio Half Marathon is amazing! The course is as beautiful as a course can be! Start is at famous Ipanema Beach!
