This was my first run in Hawaii. It was hot and humid but what a beautiful run. Very well organized. No swag – but the race officials and event itself sorta makes up for it. Running along side the ocean and listening to the waves crash against the shore was priceless. From what I understand the Full and Half marathoner’s got a bit more spectacular view and more entertainment along the race course than us 10k’ers. It was still a great event and I’d go again in a heartbeat.

I’ve been to a couple Rock n Roll races now and they always seem to do an upstanding job. I was not able to get to the expo in time on Friday for my bib and got it easy peasy Saturday AM. In fact they warned me of lines and I got there right at 7:30am and the start line wasn’t up yet. I wish I had drove and parked. Parking seemed ample and not far at all. I took an uber and could have saved myself. Scenery was fun for me – but I work for an airline so it was neat to run in and about the Boeing planes. Race was simple. Not much race support as the RnR Half Marathons, but there were a couple of bands along the way. I enjoyed it.

This race of full of entertainment from start to finish! I loved it. Packet pick up is a bit chaotic. It was fun to visit the area a little bit and have the expo outside but it was difficult to find parking. After getting to the bib pickup it was a breeze. Event is very well organized. It’s massive! Start waves are right on que and perfected. Be prepared to be very distracted this entire race. There is so much going on, so many people. The finish line though the CU stadium is extraordinary! A stadium full of people cheering you on. Then getting to watch the elites finish. Amazing. You’ll love this race. It’s for lots of fun. Don’t forget your cupcake at mile 6. It’s delicious!

This race was a training run for me but was SO much fun. I usually am by myself and I had my very good friend with me – at my pace and even met a couple of fun ladies along the route. Scenery is typical neighborhood, but Salt Lake always had some really great people. The pre-race and post-race were excellent. Lots of community support and sponsorship. I loved our shirts. Expo was small but was going along with FitCon which was cool. Only difficulty is the elevation if you are not use to it. Weather was a little chilly in the morning but warmed up and was really nice. My friend and I think we will make this one an annual tradition. Maybe do the half next year.

This race is HUGE! And very scenic. I loved it! There are a ton of people and a lot of walkers! It was hard to find a way to run most of the time. This bridge is spectacular. I swear the 6.2 miles went so fast. Excellent organization. Just a lot of waiting in the beginning for the last corrals. As a slower runner I usually get the finish line to myself, not in this race. I crossed with 20 other people. Lots of entertainment along route, views are amazing, post race was lots of fun. Tons of food! This one is one of my top races to date. On the humid side but nice.

Course is a lot of fun. There is race support and entertainment the entire way. Sufficient hydration along the route. I am a slower runner and even at the back of the pack there was tons of people along course cheering. This was my first race with my name on my bib and hearing cheers with my name was awesome!

The race director for this race is a gem. It is held during the Albuquerque Balloon festival and being from NM has been one of my greatest memories. This race is still growing and working thru it’s kinks, however, despite the windy morning (no balloon launch) it would have been spectacular to run with the balloons. The course was no difficult and is mostly paved except for a stretch of gravel along a canal. It’s an out and back loop and not too too exciting but the weather was crappy and it didn’t help. On a good year with the balloons launching this race would have been awesome. I enjoyed my time and worth the exercise to get tacos!

I traveled to this race from Idaho with my family and it was a great race to participate in. Balboa Park is one of my favorites and to run it in an organized setting was wonderful. Because I had traveled from out of town and could not get my race bib until race morning it was very hectic. Parking is NOT close to race start and being from out of town I was only vaguely familiar with where everything was. I barely got my race bib on time. From start to finish – my 3.1 miles turned in 7 miles! The course was challenging for a slower runner with a couple of hills, but doable! I’d do this race again someday! Very well organized.
