Pros: pretty course, out and back with a flat first and last 3 miles, lots of porta potties and aid stations
Cons: hilly for the middle 7 miles, road is open to traffic with runners in both lanes, medal is standard with only personalization on the ribbon.

If you’re looking for a well organized, amazingly scenic course with the most supportive community surrounding it, this is the race for you! I had planned a different local race for my first Half, and many of my friends encouraged me to pursue the Missoula Half instead… Oh man, am I glad I did! It’s the kickoff for my 50 states goal, and it was perfect race to set the tone for me mentally. Hopefully they’re all as well organized and as fun as Missoula! <3
