This was my 5th year running this race and it’s always amazing. The course is just beautiful and the weather is always great. There are rolling hills through the first half of the course which I wasn’t expecting the first time we ran it. It’s really well organized and supported and there’s wine at the end – gives you good motivation to go fast! Book your hotels or VRBO early because everything sells out and gets expensive.

It’s a great excuse to head to the beach during the winter! We’ve run this race about 4 times and it’s always fun. Tons of people, but fun. They do a great job organizing the race and the surfboard medals are awesome.
