2nd time running this race. The weather was a challenge, and the course is at times. This is not a PR course with no hills. That being said, it is the best run race that I have participated in. It competes against a number of other races in the region on the same weekend. I had to give up Pittsburg for this race but have no regrets at all. If you haven’t tried this race I strongly urge you to do so in your future race planes.

Have interested in this race for a few years, but was never able to go. Very well organized and good participation. Swag is good, especially if you like 3M products. Course is a gradual downhill. Nothing extreme but makes for an easy run. Course starts in a more commercial area, but goes into a residential area that has good crowd support.

Revel races are just really well run. They do a great job. Bus dropped me of by 5:00 AM and that meant 1hour and 45 minutes to wait. That was a bit of a challenge, it was a bit cool. But gloves and heat blankets were provided. Course itself is fast except for last three miles. Middle part is very fast. Swag was fine , nice medal. Support on course was excellent.

Hills, many hills…this was the third time I participated in this event. For change the weather was cool. The support on course was very good.. There were water stations every mile or so. The swag is nothing special, just a shirt. At end of race you get a nice medal and towel. It is my hometown race, so I support it. It is also the toughest 1/2 marathon I have ever entered by far. If you are looking for a WV race to add to your list of races this is definitely one to consider.

This has become one of my favorites! This was my second time running the event. I had forgotten how much fun the event was, after running in a lot of smaller events recently. The crowd support is great, and the overall production is excellent. The swag is average, but pre race expo is large and good. Weather for event this year was a bit tough with periods of downpours, but a great time.

The emails that I received for the race were frequent and comprehensive. Unfortunately the execution on race day was not as good. They were a bit shorthanded at water stations, and the start was a bit disorganized.
Otherwise the race was good. Last year I rand the Marathon relay and this year opted for the half marathon. Like last year the weather was a bit warm. The half marathon course takes you through residential neighborhoods. and is not what I would call flat, but also not anything terrible.
I think with better volunteer help this race would have been a great success, as it was it was fine and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a fun race. The finish is at the stadium, which is also cool. The medals are unique and you get a fleece blanket as well.

The race was held on March12, the previous evening three inches of snow fell, and the starting temperatures were in the twenties with 30mph winds. As a result, only the hard core showed up. The results show only 60% showed. The trails were snowy and very icy. I realized early on that this was not going to be a fast race. Running on icy surfaces requires a bit of caution.
The support during the race was not great, Some water stations were barely manned. In spite of all of this, I actually had a good time. On a typical March day in Nashville I would expect it to be much nicer and scenic.
If you are looking for a smaller race in the Nashville area, it is one to consider.

I chose this race to have something to train for over the summer. I guess my training was not too effective, as my performance was a disappointment. That being said the race is very well organized and well run. COVID restrictions were in place with a staggered start. The race started at the Goodyear headquarters and also finishes there. The race goes through Akron neighborhoods and is very nice overall. Plenty of water stations along the way. The only suggestion I would give is to have more mile markers on the course. The course itself is relatively flat, no real hills to contend with. The race had an early start (6:30), which was good for an August day. Well worth trying, and I would do again, looking for a better result.

In 2021 there were numerous COVID Restrictions imposed. In spite of this, the race was very well run. I ran the two man Marathon relay. The exchange zone was not well marked and was a bit difficult to find. Other than that well run. They had parking well organized with good bus services and the swag was great. The city support was great, would recommend. My time was poor, but that was more a reflection of poor preparation. The course itself is not difficult.

The race was run under strict COVID restrictions. Runners were spaced about, checked for temperature.. A bus took runners up the course, and capacity was strictly limited. Runners started five seconds apart. The course itself is mostly downhill, giving on an opportunity for a good time. You will feel it in your quads the next day or two. Scenery was great, and race was very well run. Loved it, and will look for other Revel races in future.

I entered this race just looking to stay in condition. I was not well prepared, but relatively local winter race was hard to pass up. Race this year was limited to a low number of participants. The start was staggered, based on expected finish time. Due to this, there was plenty of racing room, never really bothered by crowding. There were times that I was racing alone, with no other runner in sight. Water stations were well spaced and staff was friendly and helpful. Swag was fine, nothing to get excited about. Entry fee was very reasonable. I will compete again next year, and hopefully do better. One should be able to get a good time in this race.

Race is a combination of 5K, 7.1 miles 1/2 marathon and 30K. Basically it is just a question of how many times you around the lake, The 1/2 marathon required a short run and back to cover the 5K distance and then two complete runs around the lake. The area is a runners paradise. Lots or recreation runners are in area and there are established running lanes for the whole course. The race is well organized with free phots and slightly different swag. This year had a pair of shorts, which is the usual and a pint glass. I have run this race for three years although this is the first 1/2 marathon, previously ran 8.1 distance.

This is a great fall race. It runs down an abandoned portion of the PA Turnpike. A significant portion is in tunnels, which require lighting. Most of the course is actually a bit rough. The pavement shows signs of many years of neglect, but the tunnels are still pristine. Fun experience!

Race was in August due to COVID. The temps were a bit high, which made run tough. Race is small, and support minimal. There was a water station at the 5K turnaround and one more at the midpoint turnaround. That was it. If you are looking for a small scenic race down a trail by a lake it is nice.

This course has a reputation of being tough and it is. Normally I can run, between 1:50 and 2:00. I have run twice and can’t come close to breaking two hours. Between the heat (Memorial Day Weekend) and the elevation changes you will be challenged. Support for the race is great. I will be back again to finally break my barrier. Wish they held it during a cooler time of year, otherwise a great race to try.

Course is almost a complete reverse of the 1/2 marathon run in spring. The organizers try hard with different themes at each mile marker, but for me many were lost or I just didn’t notice them. Swag is OK, crowd support is thin compared to marathon, but still a fun race in the city. There are no real hills but plenty on inclines and bridge crossings.

Race is a gentle downhill course, which enables some pretty fast times. Race is over a beautiful well maintained trail. Temperature was cool and scenery was great. Possibly a bit past peak foliage but still very nice. Swag is nothing special, but fine. It is a point to point race, they provide bus service back to start. If in you are, in the area it is well worth it!
