Sadeana Steele's Staging Area

This was my first 50k. The aid stations were great. Course it tough – lots of rocks and tree roots. But its a trail race —this was expected by me and I trained on trails similar to this.
Race day communication wasn’t the best – I did not know how far it was to the aid stations until 5 minutes before the race. I wish that I would be communicated that just to help me mentally prepare. Overall great race and I would do again.

Good swag and a nice size race.
The pace groups should have started out more spread out. At the starting line they were all together.
Had a hard time finding the beer tent at the end (sign pointing to the amazing beer selection would have been nice).
All in all the race was good and I would run it again.

Hilly course but a good one. I would run this on again.
The mass start wasn’t so great as it was hard to get to my pace group and I had to crawl through the fence to get close to where I wanted to started. Pace groups should be spread out more and larger to allow for a lot people in the 9-10 minute pace group.

Good course with just enough support. Lucked out with perfect weather. Get a medal and a cool pint glass at the finish line. T-shirts are for sale and are super soft. I would drive seven hours again to do this race.
