Aid stations were plentiful on the route, as were volunteers and police support. However, bathrooms were definitely lacking. City streets were not in great shape. There were very few people out spectating and cheering. The expo was small given this was an event in a major city… I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I would definitely NOT recommend this race.

The volunteers and aid stations were top notch! The aid stations were hosted by trail runners, and there were food and beverages galore! Shots of fireball, vodka, beer, tater tots, cookies, peanut butter sandwiches, etc. could be found at various spots along the route. The trail was well maintained and the scenery was pretty. The expo was held at the local running store and they offered a great discount on apparel for the day. Would definitely recommend this race!

I really enjoyed this race. The expo had great vendors and was easy to get to. The course was pretty and had great crowd support. There were signs placed around mile 20 that included trivia about Indiana that kept your mind occupied during a mentally tough portion. I enjoyed this entertainment! Would definitely run this race again!

I love the crowd support in big city races. I appreciated that there were buses around the city that were designated to take you to the expo. That really helped streamline the process. The race shirts were incredibly boring. Plain black with white writing. I actually donated mine the moment I got home because there was nothing special about it. I really enjoyed the after party.

I consider Cowtown to be my hometown race. I love completing the challenge of running either a 5k or 10k the day before to earn an additional medal. There are a few hills on the course (one monster one around mile 9), but overall I don’t feel this course is too challenging. Good crowd support and small town feel.

This race is pricey, but worth every penny, in my opinion! I love the crowd support and getting a taste of each borough. My favorite is running through Brooklyn and the incredible neighborhood parties they have cheering the runners on. To me, this is just a classic taste of what NYC has to offer and I would love to come back time after time.

I love racing in New York City! This course did a loop of Central Park before heading toward Times Square and the finish line. The rolling hills of central park can be tricky, but the crowd here was awesome! There didn’t seem to be much of a finish line party, but I had a great time at the actual race.

This race used to be run around the Dallas White Rock Lake. I found that course to be rather boring, as there isn’t much but a lake to look at for the majority of the run. While the lake is beautiful, the majority of the locals run around this every day. I was glad they decided to change the course of this race to include more of the city.

The hardest part of this race is that it starts at midnight and is run on a 3 mile loop through the park. Once you get past that, the race is a blast! I see this race as a big party and every 3 miles, you have the opportunity to party along with your support team.

This race was held at a park and was a three loop course. If I recall correctly, most of the course was on a crushed limestone path. The swag was my favorite part of the race, as we received socks and a long sleeved shirt the year I ran. Very small, intimate race.

Jamaica is beautiful, but very humid. The majority of people participating in this race are doing the half-marathon, so the second half of the race is very quiet. There is also very little crowd support, so that was challenging as well. If I were to run this race again, I would stick with the half-marathon and enjoy the post-race ocean cool down.
