This is a fairly tough desert course – can’t be compared with its sister race OTHTC 50k in Ridgecrest. Heat, hills and sand are challenging factors which will strip you to who you are. Course is well marked. Desert scenery & trails leading to old mines are stunning. Indian Wells Brewery’s Cola/Ale and juicy oranges were my favorite from the aid-stations. Being a low profile race, the best part is the community which takes care of your needs and safety – volunteers sprayed water on me & put ice in my Buff during exposed sections.
