This race is difficult in different ways from the other Texas XTERRA events. The bike course is not technical at all, and relatively flat, but very sandy, so you still need to be able to handle your bike! The run has stretches of wide open, sunny patches mixed with switch-back single-track that is smooth but still interesting. The swim is hot because it’s July, but the water is clear and clean. It isn’t my favorite, compared to Bluebonnet or ATX, but was still a fun event and I’d be willing to do it again!

This race is difficult in different ways from the other Texas XTERRA events. The bike course is not technical at all, and relatively flat, but very sandy, so you still need to be able to handle your bike! The run has stretches of wide open, sunny patches mixed with switch-back single-track that is smooth but still interesting. The swim is hot because it’s July, but the water is clear and clean. It isn’t my favorite, compared to Bluebonnet or ATX, but was still a fun event and I’d be willing to do it again!
