A Better World Running is an organization that organizes runs just about every weekend generally in Huntington Beach, Long Beach and Van Nuys. Their runs range from 5k’s to full Marathons and they have a Run 4 get a race free policy. No shirts but you get a medal at the end. I love these guys.
World Peace Day Run is one of their few “mainstream” runs. It takes place in picturesque Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley and is one of the only times your run is chip timed and not timed by stop watch.
The run was very inexpensive (about $20) and also has a 10K option. No T-Shirts again and the medal is nice.
The course is beautiful with mild hills and is fully on path. There was no aid station (the 10K runners had one).
All and all a great time.
