Winter Predictor

The Winter Predictor is a unique run/walk event where awards are based on participants finishing closest to their predicted times. To be eligible for awards, participants cannot wear a watch or other timing device. However, the use of a calendar, an hourglass or a sun-dial is acceptable.

The top 25 individuals, in both distances, with finish times closest to their predicted times will receive awards. The overall male and female fastest runners and the closest male and female runners to their predicted times, in both distances, will receive a Champion Shirt. The top three overall, in both the 13K and 6K, closest to their predicted times will receive a complimentary entry to one of our upcoming events. The top three closest to their predicted times at the intermediate time bonus point will receive an award. Times will be based on a chip start and chip finish.

INTERMEDIATE TIME CONTEST
Participants will also predict their time for an intermediate point on the course: the 10K mark for the 13K participants and the 5K mark for the 6K participants. Runners: Please show your bib numbers at these locations. Awards will be given for this competition as well.

THE GRAND PRIZE
If a participant finishes their event in the exact time as they predicted, she or he will win a $100 cash prize. There will only be one award – if more than one person finishes in their exact predicted time, then the winner will be drawn from a hat.

Entry fee includes the race, post-race refreshments, awards and prizes. Add $5 to all entry fees on race day.
