The Wenatchee Marathon features a fast course with something for everyone. Join in the heart of the Wenatchee Valley during the peak of apple blossom season for an amazing experience. All four races begin and end at the Performing Arts Center right in the middle of Wenatchee’s historic downtown.
After a quick start on Wenatchee Avenue, racers make a turn to enter the scenic Apple Capital Loop Trail, and continue for the remainder of their course. The smooth paved trail follows the banks of the Columbia River passing through parks and over bridges spanning the Columbia and Wenatchee Rivers with gorgeous Cascade Mountain views.
Mostly flat with a few rolling hills, the course is fast and flowing creating the possibility of personal best times and making it ideal as a proven Boston qualifier. Walkers are welcome in all four events.
The Wenatchee Marathon is powered by TedDriven, an organization that supports cancer research and local non-profits. Everyone knows someone who has suffered through cancer or have been impacted by cancer, including founders Lynda, Wendy & Ian. As a result, they want to make a difference and are committed to doing their part to fight the disease.
Finishers of all events will be awarded a custom Wenatchee Marathon medal upon crossing the finish line.
TedDriven donates proceeds from the Wenatchee Marathon to the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. This lab is making amazing progress in fighting solid tumors genetically, creating hope in the quest to find a cure. TedDriven also believes in the power of community and both relies on and invests in local non-profits to put on every event. You will enjoy meeting these valued partners who join to serve you in every aspect of the event.
TedDriven is dedicated to creating premier events that inspire and celebrate the human race.

I was an early start and expected course confusion and it was not until the campground that I could not figure out my way and gained an extra mile and a half but met fellow runners who were able to redirect me. My frustration and anxiety got the best of me and cause my running rhythm to go haywire but I finished.
I was very very disappointed there was no food for the late runners as it had already been put away. It was advertised as a 7-hour time limit so I expected to have some refreshments when I finished. Personally I think it disrespects the participants t
who finish later but within the time limit. I would not do this run again and cannot recommend it (especially for early start / late finishers.
Lastly– I was of course still slogging along the course when the awards we’re presented but was first place in my age group of 70 to 74 and emailed the director asking if he would please let me pay for the shipping and mail me my award — trivial as it may be I would like to have it. He has not replied and I will reach out to him again.

This was a great race for scenery, that hometown feel and a supportive vibe. Not overly hilly, and great course support! The finish line had a block party which I felt was a little overwhelming after finishing a race but some people might like that!! Wish there would have been some kind of protein option at the end of the race for recovery but they did have massages and really cool apple medals. I definitely would do the race again just for the course. It was beautiful!!

Lots of hills, especially the two bridges that you loop twice!! My Nike app saying 1,656 of elevation gain. Lowest 620 ft, highest 700ft. Not what I expected!! I don’t think they account the gain to the bridges, primarily the foot bridge!! The USATF measurement certificate says lowest 200.70 meters, highest 210.70 meters which is only 32.81 ft difference. I was not a happy camper. At the end, they ran out of medals for this year, so I got a 2023 medal. It was a beautiful run, good volunteers, good signage, good aid stations.

A beautiful and easy course along the Columbia River, with some tough spots on the east bank, especially the climb over the Columbia. A very sunny day added to the beauty! A very well-put race with great volunteers’ support along the course. Also a lot of good snacks at the finish line. Beautiful medal (AS ALWAYS). Last but not least, the “WENATCHEE” typography designer did an amazing job with the race title. Thanks! See you in 2025.

A great race with a modest number of runners. Mostly flat but some rolling hills on the east side of the river. The course was well marked and staffed. The finish line area is a bit congested so tell your friends and family to get there early to find a good spot.
