I ran the race in 2026. Three weeks before the race, the park revoked the permit and Dann the race director had to find a new course on very short notice. I won’t review the course itself since it was different that year. I can tell you about how well run the race was though. The course was perfectly marked. There were a lot of turns and it was easy to follow. The aid stations were great. They served bacon! Never had that before at an aid station. Delicious. It had standard fare at every station so plenty of salty, sweet, real food, and gu’s and gels. I brought nothing food wise and was totally fine. Dann sent out a few messages, not too many, but enough to feel like we knew what was going on. He hosted a zoom call the week before the race too. Dann is an A+ race organizer. He navigated a last minute course change with no issues for runners. Impressive!
