This is an open course, through town, then residential, farmlands, back to residential, back to town. So many hills. The elevation gain map doesn’t look bad, but my goodness, the hills are. Very little shade, very exposed, etc. Starts off very packed, including people falling at the race start. Spaces out as you go on.
If you don’t finish in the main pack, they don’t have food and drinks for you. Tried to get cold water, only alcohol was available at that point.
Fredericksburg itself is great, but pass on this race.
**To note, the race director asked for a review and that if you have issues, contact them directly. I did reach out, as I think not having water available for all participants is an issue, but never heard back.

This is an open course, through town, then residential, farmlands, back to residential, back to town. So many hills. The elevation gain map doesn’t look bad, but my goodness, the hills are.
