    A couple thousand runners make running one of the Volkslaufe races part of their Independence Day festivities. I participated in the 10K sponsored by the Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland store. In was a nice course going through a bit of the countryside around Frankenmuth as well as the popular areas near downtown. The start and finish area was in Heritage Park which has plenty of space to spread out and have a seat. Overall, my experience in the race was very good.
