Veronica’s Story
At 13 mos., Veronica was diagnosed with Ependymoma, or brain cancer. Though she valiantly fought the tumor for 11 months, she would not survive her battle and went to be with our Lord on August 24, 2017. This 5K is in her memory and all children who battle cancer.
The dragonfly symbol has become a beloved part of our family as a result from reading water bugs & dragonflies; Explaining Death to Young Children by Doris Stickney.
The Veronica Finnie Endowment for Women and Children was created as a living fund to help secure resources for those in most need.
Thank you for your participation, Mitch and Chrissy Finnie.

Good race, but it’s a very challenging course. Everything was well-organized. I’ll be back again. If there’s a change I’ll like to see, the starting time should be moved back to either 7 AM or 7:30 AM, that’s all.
