packet consisted of T-Shirt, race flyers, and bib
Race Day
Start and finish outside Ranger Ballpark in Arlington. About 1400 runners for both 5K and 10K combined. All start at the same time.
Course basically flat with a couple small inclines. Run by Ranger Stadium, Six Flags, and Cowboy Stadium but other than that not much to see.
There is a stretch where the 10K loops back and the 5K runners are running towards you sharing the same side of the road so some caution and respect is needed.
on course support – a few water stations
No finisher medals.
Medals for top 3 in each age group.
Plaques for overall male and female.
A few “random” drawings for a photo gift certificate were handed out.
Post race refreshments – water, chips, fruit, & granola bars.
Registration fee was lower than most runs, benifits DAV
Run was on memorial day, so a Monday run, fits the schedule and for the price can do a run on saturday then run this on monday.
