I ran a half on Friday and another half on Saturday morning. As is the case with all of the Whitewater Center trail races, organization is top notch! The course follows 13.2 (more or less) miles of single track back trails. Only a couple of really tough hills, but the constant climbing and descending (about 1000 feet total) takes its toll. Even at night (and in the morning) the heat and the terrain take its toll.

Great post race beer and food. Swag is nice – great shirt (or hoodie) and a two piece medal that fits together if you run both races. This was my first trail half (or halves) – I’ve run some 5 milers and 8 milers on the trails) so I may not be the “best” authority on the subject. But its a great and fun race if you are looking for something different.
