The premier trail running festival in Maine returns for year 3 with long runs on Saturday, shorter distances on Sunday, and a Sunset 5K and 24 hour events in between! The Trail Festival at Pineland Farms has a challenge for everyone, even your dogs!
*New this year* We’ve added a kids’ fun run on Sunday! We’ve also upped the ante and changed the 50 miler to a 100K.
The Trail Festival at Pineland Farms covers groomed double track, rolling hills, and open fields. Your experience will be as picturesque as it is challenging.
50k racers will complete two loops of our 25k course.
100k racers will complete four laps of the 25k course.
24 Hour runners will complete laps on our 10k course.
Everyone who races in a 5k, 10k, or 15k will receive the Trail Festival at Pineland Farms short sleeved t-shirt. Racers in the 25k, 50k, 50 mile, and 24 hour events will receive the long sleeve hooded t-shirt. Everyone who finishes their run will receive the Trail Festival at Pineland Farms medal signifying the distance they completed.
There will be food vendors on site throughout the weekend with options for carnivores and vegetarians alike. Those who are 21 or older on race day will also receive 2 tall, cold pints courtesy of Baxter Brewing Co.!
We have a lot in store for you throughout the weekend! We will have challenging runs for all skill levels, prizes for race winners provided by Lamey Wellehan, and live music to keep spirits high. We will also have sponsors and vendors on hand all weekend with swag and items for sale.

I ran the 100 km trail race at Pineland Farms as my qualification race for Vermont 100 because I previously ran the Pineland Farms 50 Mile Trail Challenge twice, finishing under 11 hours on both occasions. My experience with the similar course gave me some confidence going in. Under the new management, 40 Back Events, the Pineland Farms 100 km course is a slightly updated 14.9-mile loop or 25K, so runners will need to complete 4 laps. This is a reliable and relatively fast course for 100-mile race qualifications. Highly recommend it.
