Tour de La Porte: Move for More
Every Mile Builds A Stronger Community!
Tour de La Porte is more than a walking, running, and cycling event—it’s a powerful weekend of movement with purpose. Families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts come together to support the La Porte County Family YMCA and the vital programs that strengthen our community.
Every step, stride, and pedal fuels life-changing impact—helping kids discover confidence, families build healthy habits, and neighbors access inclusive, equitable programs that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Thanks to the dedication of our participants, sponsors, and volunteers, Tour de La Porte continues to grow its impact each year. In 2025, the event raised more than $64,000 to support programs that improve health, connection, and opportunity across La Porte County.
This year, we invite you to move with purpose, rally your team, and help create lasting change. Join us—and turn your passion into progress for La Porte County.

Small field of runners (about 100 in each), so I placed in my age group, and my son got first in his in the 5K so bonus swag for each of us and medals were great. Cool neon green shirts this year. I’m a fan of a basic t-shirt more than anything. Lakes nearby, plus foam machine and bounce house for the kids. Good post race buffet: jimmy johns, build your own yogurt topping bar, donuts, coffee, plus bananas and water etc.

I really enjoyed this race. Nice small entry (surprised there wasn’t more people) so easy parking and navigation. Scenery was nice and varied with lake, field and Forrest views. There is definitely some hills but I would call them rolling. Starts early and we’ll shades so never too hot.
The only thing I didn’t like is they must start the 5k much later than the half and so my last mile I had to navigate a lot of walkers (and strollers).
