This race is just right: not too big, not too small, a good amount of downhill with one slight uphill to challenge you, and perfect scenery. I LOVED this race. I signed up because my husband was doing it and now it’s one I want to do every year. The timing system they use was really nice, and they even have you test it at packet pick-up. The shuttles are well-done and the start line is a park area up the canyon, so there’s plenty of room to hang out or warm up. There was a race photographer walking around and grabbing pre-race photos of everyone. The canyon views along with the downhill course made it a really fun run. There is a slight uphill around mile 11, so you have to work for that finish line. 🙂 The post-race snacks included delicious local treats, and the park it ends at gives you plenty of room to lay down and question your choices before realizing you want to do it all over again next year!
