This event benefits “tiny”Smiles and Children’s Heart Foundation and is designed to create awareness for CHD’s (Congenital Heart Defect), raise money for the incredible care and support babies and their families need.
Entry Fees includes custom tech shirt, finishers medal for the half marathon, goodie bag, race gels, sports drink, post race food and entertainment.
The Half Marathon course is a loop that takes you through historical Galt, new developments and the surrounding area. The 5K/10K Run will be an out and back. There are multiple aid stations and restrooms along the way! Walkers and running strollers are encouraged! Spectator friendly finish at the Galt Fairgrounds.
Awards – Overall male/female, and masters receive a custom etched glass trophy. Medals to top 3 in each age division, 13 & under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ 5K Stroller Division, 1st and 2nd place overall.
After the race join us from some food, drinks and walk through the Health Expo near the start/finish site. Free health screenings and blood drive. Fun stuff for kids!

Part of the Valley 13.1 series from Fleet Feet Stockton, I signed up for this since a close friend had his own work team running it. Galt is such a small city that there wasn’t much other than residential areas and freeway frontage roads, but it definitely covered a lot of miles (Galt Main exit all the way north to Twin Cities Rd along Highway 99). With reg I got a Mizuno running vest (black, reflective), long sleeve mesh tech shirt, and medal. Free race photos printed on the spot!
