The Tie Dye 50K is a great spring race featuring a 3-loop course traversing through beautiful John Bryan State Park. Each loop will be approximately 10.3 miles.
John Bryan is the most scenic state park in western Ohio. The 752-acre park contains a remarkable limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River which is designated as a state and national scenic river. A portion of the gorge itself is designated as a national natural landmark.
Aid Stations
Fully manned aid stations at miles 5, 10.3, 15.3, 20.6, 25.6. Water only station at miles 2.2, 7, 9, 12.5, 17.3, 19.3, 23, 27.6, and 29.6.
We again strive to provide you with a safe and comfortable experience at our fully manned aid stations. To support this, all available items will be presented to you on a display table and an aid station worker will grab for you whatever you may need. Items will include: water, Gatorade, chips, pretzels, pickles/pickle juice, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bananas, and cookies.
Newly built restrooms are available near the start/finish shelter aid station.
Awards
Awards for top three overall female, male, and non-binary runners and a Special 15th year finishing awards for all who complete the course within the 9-hour cut-off. “Dig Down Deep” award for the last finisher who completes both loops within 9 hours.
Part of the “No Way 200k Trail Series!” The Ohio River Road Runners Club is continuing the 50k Trail Series 200k No Way! Finishers will receive a special award for completing four 50k races in which you are listed as an official finisher. All 4 races do not have to be club races but 2 must be. Races can be more than 50k, but you must finish the distance and be listed as an official finisher.

A small very well-run low key 50k. $45 entry fee gets you a Patagonia Tie Dye 50k shirt and a custom finishers award made locally in Yellow Springs. The race is great as a first ultra-marathon or if you want to try to set a PR with only 1,700-1,900 feet of elevation gain. Aid station fare is good and they keep the water and Gatorade cold. Pizza and vegan options after the race along with camping opps to keep costs down for out of the area folks.
