Get ready for a great, fall run through one of southeast Michigan’s most scenic parks. All races start and finish at the Baypoint Beach Tent inside Stony Creek Metropark, with wide, paved paths that loop around the lake.
The course is fast, slightly rolling, and scenic, with paved trails winding through forests, around the lake, and under a canopy of fall color. You’ll breathe in crisp autumn air and take in classic Michigan views with every mile. Note: every athlete will utilize the trailhead, taking that down, over the foot bridge past the finish for each loop, or up into the finish line. This is a short approximately 200m downhill section on a groomed path to Baypoint beach, a mixture of limestone, and grass.

Race was a lot of fun, which seems to be the point for this company. Oktoberfest theme worked well.
The course markings at the end of each loop for the 1/2 and the 30k were confusing, but that’s likely bc it was the first year for the new company. The 30k has few participants and is three loops. I was alone a lot of it. If you won’t like that, run the 1/2, which was well attended.
Lots of aid stations, which was great. They were partially do-it-yourself, but you’re unlikely to PR on this hilly course, so that was not a big deal for me.
