Well-organized event with a friendly and personable RD who provided entertaining snippets throughout and after the race. Packet pickup at Charm City. Beautiful, scenic area in a small town with big hills, which is to be expected given the location. The 5k course was an out-and-back starting at the nature center, going up some major hills, passing a farm and some very interested cows. Hot day but they even had a water stop for the 5k course, which I am sure was appreciated by many. Fun awards, nice technical t-shirt available, and happy volunteers. Lots of parking on-site, bathrooms, first aid/medical truck, a pretty park and center for kids/families to walk around while waiting for participants. Lovely 5k, not for a PR, but for a small-town, community feel 5k that is still professionally organized and directed and directly appeals to runners.
