1. Place
We meet in the Skaryszewski Park in Warsaw. The race office as well as the start and finish will be located in the main alley from the Washington roundabout. Remember that the event is organized in the historic park. Therefore, we will be grateful for taking care of this place to leave it as you found it.
2. Access and parking lots
Public transport can be reached from almost every side of Warsaw. The fastest connection can be found on the website or in the JakDojade.pl application
It is not possible to enter and park in the park. The largest car park we encourage you to use is the one on PGE Narodowy. Other possibilities are the streets of Saska Kępa, but we know from experience that there are few places here, which is why we encourage you once again to park at the stadium.
3. Race route
We run clockwise along the main avenue. One loop is about 1800 meters, and there will be three laps to cover, a total of 5400 m. Start is scheduled for 14:00. The time limit is 60 minutes. Remember that there will be many of us. Therefore, when running more slowly keep to the center of the route so that the fastest ones have more space on the right.
4. Starter packages
Collection of packages is possible in the Shop Runner on ul. Kościuszkowskie 45A in Warsaw on December 29-31. The store is located opposite the Copernicus Science Center. On the day of the event, i.e. January 1, the store is closed and you will not be able to receive the package.
5. Deposit
There will be a deposit in the race office. The delivery of items left behind will take place only on the basis of the starting number. Before the scheduled start time the deposit will only accept items for storage. After starting, we only issue the items deposited with us.
6. Catering
After the run, enjoy hot soup and tea. Your crunches will be warmed up by the well-known Catermark. We will try to do a survey at the beginning of December in which you will choose what soup you would like to eat at the finish.
7. Medals and awards
Each participant who finishes the race will receive a commemorative medal. Small gifts from Sponsors are planned for the fastest players, so please stay with us for 30-40 minutes. The decoration will start after the last player reaches the finish line. We will try to give awards quickly and efficiently.
8. Medical security
During the event, Paramedics will watch over your safety. The ambulance will be parked around the start / finish, and additionally the lifeguard will follow the route of the runner on a bike.
9. Photo
We also made sure that you had a nice photo souvenir. I will take care of it. Photos, and basically hundreds of photos 🙂 we will publish within 2-3 days after the events on our FB profile.
10. Competition
We also remind you of the competition for the best disguise. We know that you are creative, which you showed at the 2019 edition. Therefore, now the coolest, most interesting and best costumes will be awarded 🙂
11. Communication with us
On the day of the event, all messages and questions left on Facebook, e-mail boxes or sent via contact forms will be answered only after the end of the competition, i.e. most likely in the evening. We are at the event site on this day and, if necessary, we will answer all your questions on site.

The New Year’s Day race at the Skaryszewski Park in Warsaw (Poland) was an absolutely magical event. This was the first time that we participated in this run through the historic park at the distance of 5.400 km (that is 5km and 400 meters). Skaryszewski Park is known as the most beautiful park in Poland and one of three most beautiful parks in Europe, so I was particularly excited about starting the New Year and the new decade in this special venue. It was really nice to see some people dressed up for the fancy costume contest and also very motivated furry runners. There was even a team of two people dressed in Santa costumes who had a dog in a matching Santa costume. The race was preceded by a dynamic warmup which was much needed and appreciated because of the icy cold wind. The route was a picturesque, wide alley with a view of a canal shaped pond and some sculptures in the distance. Even in winter the majesty and beauty of the place could be sensed. I thoroughly enjoyed this race also for another reason, namely the class of the participants. While quite a few people wore costumes, once the race started everyone was focused on… running! It may seem self-explanatory, but in quite a few running events in which I have participated, there were people who would abruptly stop in the middle of the path to take a selfie, without any consideration for the runners approaching from behind. I don’t mind people having a good time as long as it doesn’t affect other participants. Here, at the park the atmosphere was cheerful, friendly, respectful, without people crushing into each other because someone absolutely had to take that selfie. The runners at this New Year’s Day were an inspiration to me.
After the race there was split pea soup in two versions: traditional with meat and a vegetarian one which of course I was happy to see. There was also hot tea sweetened and unsweetened. I could not have imagined anything better than hot tea on that icy cold afternoon. The soups and tea were served in cardboard bowls and cups as opposed to plastic. I cringe at the heaps of plastic waste at running events – or anywhere else for that matter. The organization of this event was absolutely superb. There were finisher medals with snowflakes on them, awards for overall results – no age groups – and for costumes. My husband and I wore similar Santa outfits and we each got a sweet prize from the sponsors: cookies, energy bars and jars of absolutely delicious buckwheat honey. All in all, I could not have imagined a better way of welcoming the New Year and decade than at this most memorable event.
