Every step is an adventure in this race. Descending proved to be as challenging as ascending. Beautiful course of wildflowers, huckleberries, bear grass, lots of scurrying critters and endless mountains. This is one run I will keep on my race lineup. I will keep in mind to bring more water. This year was significantly hotter than last and I ran out of water as did one aid station.

The hills were brutal, especially the downhills. I had to walk most of them because they were so steep & loose shale rock. I definitely enjoyed it, but won’t do it again unless the course is modified. I don’t need to break an ankle going down those hills.
