It started on time. There were plenty of aid stations. It was very hot by the end of the marathon. (4hr time) Very windy. The signage could have been a lot better. I know some of the marathoners got lost and I almost did at one of the turns (had it not been for one of the volunteers yelling at me to come back). The volunteers were great. Probably the best part of the race. Some of the aid stations ran out of water towards the end of the race. The finish area was really below what I expected. There was no where to sit. The tortillas for the tacos were smaller than the palm of my hand, hardly anything to eat. It felt like the 5K, 10K, and 1/2 marathon must have cleaned out everything by the time the marathoners got there. There were no finisher medals. There was no live tracking. The race packet pick up the day before seemed very salesy. It was at a chiropractor’s office and you were supposed to go back to see the extra “gifts that the doctor has for you.” The jacket was lame. I immediately gave it away to good will. Will not be coming back.
Overpriced and underproduced
For $178 fee, I’d expect a better production. From missing turnaround flag to bare bones finish area food drink (what drink?) offerings, it felt subpar. MORE

It’s a nice path. Shady enough with patches of sunlight where you don’t feel constantly exposed to the sun- that’s a big one for me. Atmosphere is great, good vibes. It’s the Santa Clarita Marathon so expect a little more competition in ways of placing. I really like the company who hosts the event, Elite Sports, and would run with them again!

The race advertised they would stay until 2pm for, in their own words, a “generous finish time.” However, we crossed at 5:51 and the booths were already closed. We were the last people photographed. There was an entire hour left and people who finished were met with hardly anything.
This race also advertised as having a shirt, a medal, tacos, and a beer. We only received the shirt and medal. Everything else was gone. Pretty awful for what you pay for. Additionally, the porta-potties weren’t set up until about two hours into the race as well.
Very poorly ran. Will likely not do another marathon by Elite Sports.
