Come to San Marvelous and run a race that is likely older than you are….right? This is the new San Marcos Half Marathon 13.1, 10k and 5k. Formerly known as Mo’s Better Half Marathon, they passed the torch to ScallyWompus after 33 years, and now it’s up to you to make this old race shiny and new again.
The San Marcos Half Marathon, 5k and 10k is an event to honor the retired “Oldest Half Marathon in Central Texas” Moe’s Better Half Marathon.
The race begins at the Tanger Outlet Mall, a short distance from downtown San Marcos. San Marcos is a college town, home to Texas State University, which also lies a short distance from the San Marcos River. This not-so-sleepy town midway from San Antonio and Austin offers plenty of places serving adult beverages, Tex-Mex cuisine, live music, and all-around good times.
As always the post race event will be an explosion of excitement and fun, Scallywompus Style!
