It is a great midsize race (half, full and 10k) with a flat course. Due to inner city construction they had to alter the start and finish slighty which was outside the Salzburg exhibition center very centrally located instead of the square infront of the main church.
I was running with my brother and sister-in-law and really enjoyed the run and tried to be a good pacer for my family. What will probably stay in my memory most was the opportunity to run a breakfast jog the day before the race. 5 groups with different city guide runners did 4-6km to either see classical inner city sights, to run along sights outside of the known inner city or where (thats what I did) a run along modern art sculptures in Salzburg with breakfast in the end (12 Euros).
Nice swag including a towel; in comparisson with Vienna marathon I prefered Salzburg due to the feeling of more hospitality and the smaller size.
