The course is a fairly flat course, which goes about halfway over the Tower Bridge (before making a U-turn), a short selection along the Sacramento River, and ends on the warning track of Raley Field.
If you start near the back, beware of all the walkers.On other races I have run, the congestion clears up before mile 1, but I was not able to get free of the pack until about mile 2.5.
The t-shirt and medal were pretty cool, and they provided lots of post-race snacks/

I’ve run all of the Giant races and so far this one is actually my favorite! This was the first year in Sacramento and they did a great job. The shirt and medal were super cute and the course was lovely. The only draw back for me was driving to Sacramento early for a race, other than that – great inaugural race!
