Scenery- mostly ran along the shore. Beautiful views. There was a small section that was like the middle of no where. But came back out on the water!
– race production- over all was really good. Packet pick up was easy. And the expo was very lively with games and food, and vendors. My only complaint would be the bathroom. There was only one. And it was gross with no TP.
During the run, the volunteers were amazing. There was only a couple of entertainment spots. And they weren’t there when we were on the return stretch. They already started taking down arches and stuff on our way back, too… even though we were >1 hour from the cut off time. The aid stains stations were a mix of water, cola, Red Bull, oranges, apples, bananas, gel packets, salt, and sugar. Best one I’ve seen in Türkiye. I only saw one port a port potty along the route. But I’ve been told most small businesses support you using theirs during events. Bag drop was easy. But since the start was the same place as the expo… the bathroom issue still existed. At the end they only had water and fruit. Other food for sale.
Swag- backpack. It’s a nice package. Wooden block phone holder, athletic shirt. But the shirt doesn’t have your distance or the year! (It does say 20th anniversary- so you know it’s from this year…but a year would still be nice). They also don’t have women’s sizes. Bag also came with a neck gaiter and magnetic bottle opener. The medal though visually nice… don’t have the distance. Marathoners got the same one as 5kers.
Overall great race. I would so it again
