Website says water stations every mile, at pkt pu they said every 2 miles……truth be told every 3 -4 miles and water station consisted of a case of water setting on the ground in the sun for you to take one. I went several miles in 80 degree temps with no fluids. NOT SAFE! And the finish line – no drinks, no food and oh by the way your medal is on the table go grab it. Thoroughly disappointed.
But the wind...

Seems like flat should equal easy, but not here. To be fair, I had been on the road with the band for 2 days with little sleep, drove through the night on the third day, and got out and started running; not ideal prep for a run. Still the wind made this course a beast, a 7 mile beast (bridge), with a little 5 mile beast (bridge) on it’s back…that we had to cross twice. I didn’t see anyone running who wasn’t struggling, so don’t get caught off guard. It’s flat, but not fast.
