The 5K race is a nice addition to an annual tradition in Midland of celebrating summer with the Riverdays Festival. The Pere Marquette Rail Trail goes right up to the Tridge, which makes it the perfect place to conduct a running race. 2017 saw me do the down-and-back route twice to get in more miles for my marathon training.

The 5K race is a nice addition to an annual tradition in Midland of celebrating summer with the Riverdays Festival. True to it’s name, the route followed the Tittabawassee River by crossing over from one park (Chippewassee) to another (Emerson). This race took place on Friday evening and ended with a complementary cold one at the Rotary Club’s drink tent. Nice way to start a weekend, if you ask me!
