I ran this during a visit to Leeds (where I used to live). I wasn’t a runner when I lived in Leeds so it was cool to race there, it was my first Leeds race.
I was very impressed with the organization. It’s a big race but doesn’t feel too enormous. The organisers responded really quickly to my emailed problem (and fixed it). Packet Pick-Up on the day was pretty quick and painless. There were several young people with ‘Ask Me’ signs who were able to answer our questions on the day. The course is not exactly flat but it’s a very PR-able course, which makes up for its lack of prettiness. The shirt was disappointing, but the medal was REALLY nice and the goody bag had some great British chocolate to refuel. All in all, this was a great race that I thoroughly enjoyed. Wished I’d trained more so I could run harder.
