This half marathon was mostly through a huge park on hard packed dirt trails or gravel. The only downside to the course was the killer hill at the very end. But wow, what a beautiful race. The signs along the way were hilarious. The volunteers were so energized and dressed up to make us giggle. It was such a fun run and well produced. I absolutely loved it. The Blues festival was really great too.

Graduating from Mizzou, I remember being pleasantly surprised with how scenic the run was as I clearly didn’t experience these trails while attending. One of my favorite race photos was taken on a bridge through a park. The expo the day before was great and so is the post race celebration. I remember my husband and I were running/dancing at mile 11 and a volunteer jokingly said “You’re supposed to have fun, but not THAT much fun!” It’s a good race and my second half marathon I ran.
