The Riverton Half Marathon is a great early season half marathon at an affordable price with views of the snow capped Wasatch Mountains. This is a challenging course with overall and age division awards and finisher medals for all Half Marathon finishers!

I have run this half every year it has been held (11years?). The course has changed over the years but the one constant is that it’s hard. Hills, wind and typically crappy weather. We were blessed with perfect weather in 2019 but there is no getting away from the difficult course. It’s a loop course through closed trails and city streets with tons of ups and downs. The course is very well marked and well supported. The race always starts on time. The medals are nice and the race is very organized. The t-shirt always sucks and the swag is non-existent but the finish line is great and the results are almost instantaneous. The entry is also cheap! The entry fee is about $40, a great value. The race usually has about 350 competitors. It is an awesome race and my litmus test for my fitness going into the season. I highly recommend it.
