Queens Marathon Weekend is back, and Queens is running bigger than ever.
What started as a grassroots race has evolved into a borough-wide movement and a new concept for New York City racing: a full marathon weekend in Queens.
Last December, we delivered the largest and most successful Queens Marathon Weekend in borough history. Across three days of nonstop activation, runners and community members came together for an Outdoor Expo, the 5K & 10K, the QDR Half Marathon, and the Queens Marathon. More importantly, we did it for Queens.
A part of the proceeds from the weekend supported NYC Kids Rise, helping fund the first-ever borough-wide scholarship initiative by contributing to college savings accounts for third graders across Queens.
Now we move forward to QUEENS MARATHON WEEKEND!
REGISTER NOW AND SHOW THE CITY OF NEW YORK THAT QUEENS MEANS BUSINESS.
We currently have a pending permit to potentially bring the Marathon and Half Marathon to the STREETS OF QUEENS for the first time in years, but we need a massive turnout to make the vision a reality.
In NYC, the racing season ends in QUEENS!

I loved the starting point/packet picket which was at the Queens Museum. Seamless packet pick-up. Course well marked. Plenty of aid stations. No waiting for an hour in the cold. The course didn’t have grandiose scenic views, but it was a nice park, waterfront views. The course was overall pretty flat and fast. The half marathon consisted of two loops whereas the 10K one and the full 4 loops. The size was my ideal. Good running community, but without being packed in. Snuck in a 2nd place AG finish. Fun post race snacks.
