From the beginning, this race was just completely unorganized and such a mess. Multiple times, the event changed as it was supposed to be a “women’s only” race but that was nixed by the race directors. The start times changed a few times as well.
The course was a disaster and they are very lucky nobody got injured nor hit from a vehicle on the course. Traffic was barely stopped. I had to stop and wait multiple times for semi trucks and vehicles turning or in the road. The course was pathetically marked and there were not enough people directing the runners which way to go and there was a lack of water stations.
The after party was a joke as well. Originally, the race promised an “open bar” of wine and beer and food for after. One week before the race date, we receive an email stating we will only receive one drink ticket. Of course they do not offer any refunds but promised open bar to have people sign up. This was complete false advertising! They also promised wine glasses to all but they ran out of those as well. Luckily, I did get mine.
