This course is in a gorgeous canyon in provo UT. The run starts on a side canyon and hits the main canyon about 2 miles down. Unfortunately the race is held on the provo canyon walking trail that is very very very popular with bikers and pedestrians. You will fight against other traffic all the way down the canyon. It is tough to run side by side with another runner. 3 wide is impossible. The scenery is pretty. Once you get out of the canyon you are back on a road with traffic control and more room to spread out. Aid stations in the canyon are a bit spotty. I forgot to bring nutrition for me and ate part of a Kind bar that was provided. If you are familiar with provo you know exactly where the finish is and can see it slowing coming from 3 miles away. That may bother you if you are struggling the last 3 miles.
The medal for the race is honestly pretty generic and looks exactly like Run13’s sister race with a different sticker.
