Hadn’t ran a 5k in a long time. Decided to run one and figured this would be a flat, relatively easy course to do it (it was)! Hit a PB in the 5k after training. Only thing that could have made it easier would be going downhill the entire time! Scenery is right on Maryland side of the Potomac and the event went off without a hitch, despite having a 5k, 10k, and half marathon all in the same day. Ended up with a shirt and a medal!

Race course is extremely flat. Communication is good with ample parking at race location. Shirts and medal were very good. Snacks and water at 3 aid stations were plenty if you carry your own water bottle (which everyone should). Very friendly race team.
