A great race for adventurous souls on gravel roads and hills through Torres del Paine National Park! Weather can be unpredictable in Patagonia but we were lucky to not get the strong wind that was forecasted for most of the race. Race is well organized and supported. There were 6 aid stations on course and porta potties at the start were better the ones in the states! Wear trail or running shoes with traction for gravel and bring a hydration vest. Finish line and race celebration were at the Rio Serrano Hotel + Spa with great food and drinks and medal ceremony. I was initially hesitant to book this trip/race as a solo traveler through Marathon Tours and Travel. I am so glad that I did! It was an amazing adventure with wonderful people, excellent service and great race swag and photos.

Beautiful course that is quite hilly and challenging. Most of the course is on packed gravel. The 5K and 50K distances have a trail loop on grass and a sandy riverbank. Aid stations are 6 miles apart but well stocked with fresh fruits, water, electrolytes, and snack bars. This is definitely a bucket list race for the adventurous!

Be prepared to love Chile if you go and take some time to explore before/after this race. The run is on gravel and the road is hilly but follows the lake makes the challenge worth it. Wind can be a factor but this is not your average run in the park. Torres del Paine National park and the Rio Serrano impressed.
