The race course changed this year and now is a certified course. The water stations on the course were in very odd locations being at about mile .5 and then not again until mile 2. Would much rather had it at mile 1 and 2 or 1.5 and 2.5.
You receive a cotton t-shirt and medal for participation and finishing. You were supposed to receive stick on mustache but I didn’t receive mine.
After the race there were vendors with freebies which were nice.
Parking wasn’t an issue if you followed the directions provided by the race organizers and arrived with a little buffer to allow for parking.
I didn’t stay but awards weren’t until 9:45am when the race started at 8am. I prefer when they start the awards within an hour of the start of a 5k.

Registration – I purchased a multiple race package last fall from run project for a great rate packet pickup is always easy for their events I pick up early at one of the Run On! Stores but they do have race day pickup
Very nice performance t-shirt and some stick on mustaches are in the packet
Race day. Parking was great for me but I was early and they had use of a multi story parking garage. Plenty of portable restrooms available. There were about 1400 registered participants.
Course was mostly flat with just a few slight upgrades but nothing to stress over. The route was a mix of public roads and park trail (paved). The trail portion was nice as the trees provided shade and the path was wide. Well marked directions. multiple water stops on the course Finish line area was better than most but what you can expect from Run Project. Finisher medal for everyone water and Gatorade, bananas, and granola bars, were provided. Also present was Muscle Milk, sparklets water, Cliff Bar all handing out samples. There was also beer. A few vendors were also present and a band playing a mix of songs. Results posted promptly. Overall a good little run and if you buy a multiple race package even better as you save money.

It was a well run and administered race. Parking was a nightmare because there were many construction zones around the course as well as the course closures. I parked and walked .5 miles in, that was ok, a good warm up. My biggest problem was seeing people cheat thru the park. There was a trail short cut that some people took, it shaved about a half mile off their race. I think there should have been a race monitor there. Totally invalidates the results to me.
