    This is a charity run for the Berea Animal Rescue Friends, a local no-kill shelter that is dear to my heart.

    It’s a family friendly 5K run/walk and pets are invited. There is also a costume contest. The course takes you from the fairgrounds through local parks and neighborhoods. It’s a very quaint quarry town.

    The long-sleeved cotton shirts are really quite nice with a fun design. It’s not lame at all. However, you won’t get a finishers medal so this is a race for love, not bling.

    It’s an enjoyable time. I would do it again.
