The MEDAL! It weighs half a POUND!
Okay, with that out of the way, this was a nice race. There were about 500 people signed up for this race, but I was able to score a good parking spot, even 30 minutes before the race began. Packet pickup was slow, but again, to be expected with 500+ people for a small race. We got a fun bag (that can be packed into itself) and a basic cotton tee (YAY for Big Mama 3x size!), as well as a Clif goo (chocolate, of course!). I was able to take the bag back to my car with plenty of time to spare before the race.
This was a gun-timed race, so no individual chip times for me (Garmin said I did it 53:33). No corrals, obviously. Lots of families, and doggos, and puppers.
There was one water stop, that we passed twice (good logistics there!), but since it was only 37º, not many people were stopping!
Afterward, there were maybe 10-15 booths set up, with pens and plastic cups and the like.
All in all, I was very impressed with this race and I would definitely run it again.
