My husband and I ran this soon after we moved back to the UK after living in California, it was our first UK race. It was very different from US races…much smaller, less hoopla, less information beforehand and a fraction of the price!!! People were friendly, parking was plentiful and there were real loos to use. The 7-mile course was mainly on trail/gravel road. It was undulating with a couple of short but murderous hills in the final two miles – you could wear trail or road shoes, but I’m assuming that changes dependent on the weather. At the end, the rugby club (where the race was staged) offered hot mugs of tea and bacon sandwiches for a small fee. Swag included a small medal and a buff! Really great local race, we had a fab morning.
