Due to the unique multi-loop course setup, there is one giant “aid station,” with more food and drink than you could ever need! Ask anyone who’s run at least one of our races; we’ve got everything from fruit to jelly beans to sandwiches, water to Gatorade to hot coffee, and everything in between. Way more than just granola bars and bananas – we even have our very own mobile kitchen, Loony Lunchbox!
Every participant (full or half marathon) will receive one t-shirt and other fun goodies. All finishers will receive a separate medal for each day; in addition, we give a special medal to those who complete all races in a series. We even give a special award to each person participating in his or her first full or half marathon! The best part: The famous caboose, given to the final finisher of each marathon and half marathon!
Fair Hills NRMA is not far from Havre de Grace on the Chesapeake Bay. In Havre de Grace you can visit Mount Felix Vineyards & Winery or check out the Decoy Museum, housing one of the finest collections of Chesapeake Bay waterfowl decoys ever assembled. If decoys aren’t your thing, then stop at the Susquehanna Museum of Havre de Grace at the Lock House.

Today’s course was a new course that had not been done before. We had a hilly road with mixed rocks and filler. I would not call this a technical race but it hard as the rock size was large enough to cause to have difficulty with your ankles. The day was also hot which added to the work of being 8 hours in the sun. So the good, the aid station was well stocked- they had lots of ice. They made pizza bread. There were three ports potties every mile. All my friends were there including Clyde Shank who completed his 500th marathon.
