It was a hot day…to be expected in July, but I was surprised at how few aid stations there were. This made it very difficult. The aid stations only had a fizzy electrolyte drink that was hard to swallow. I wouldn’t do this race again, but glad to be able to mark CO off my list of states.

An early start on what promised to be a hot July 4th, the field was not very crowded and the course was clean and wide. Most of the path had a dirt/ gravel shoulder that you could use to save your ankles. This is my second summertime race in Colorado and I’m really loving those iced towels at the end. All in all, a race worth repeating.
