Since its inception in 2010, Longhorn Run has become a campus tradition that unites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Austin community during the spring semester. Produced through the combined efforts of the Longhorn Run student committee and Recreational Sports, the race offers 5K and 10K courses that on the UT campus and run through campus and surrounding central Austin areas. Regardless of athletic ability, students, faculty, and local Austinites join us in our run (or brisk walk) to the finish line!
After you cross the finish line, walk up the South Mall through “Banana Alley” and join us at the UT Tower for your well-deserved, Texas-sized, post-race celebration. The post-race celebration will include music, photo opportunities, goodies from our race sponsors, award ceremony and more!
Proceeds from the race benefit the UT Student Government and Recreational Sports Excellence Funds.

Solid race but the course was short
Lots of people and a great post race party. The race was .1 short which is disappointing but they have pacers which is always a plus in a 5k. MORE
