The race was unique for me in many ways. Liechtenstein was my 31st country to run in and the first race where the “expo” was in a meat factory. Improvised but very handy changing rooms near the storage facilities and little trucks for baggage drop off. All distances started at the same time. The streets/ pathes we took were not very wide. It felt crowded and tight for the first 6-7 km (field ways, forrest and along Rhine River). We entered Vaduz city at about k9 and k10 is when the up”hill” starts. A constant uphill for about 12 km with great views into the valley and picture perfect alp meadows. The last 3k were downhill and we finished in Steg with a small finisher area. Finisher shirt but no medal. Instead, Svarowski -as one of the sponsors- provided Cristal figures for all finishers. Special transportation was set up and all local buses in Liechtenstein were free on race day.

Congrats on country #31! Amazing number in an impressively short time, and clearly you have no intention (as you shouldn't) of slowing down anytime soon. Awesome photo too, sounds like they made you earn that view (unlike the rest of us, who get to enjoy it without breaking a sweat!). Though I've gotta ask: were vegetarians allowed in the expo? :) LESS
